Parents are encouraged to monitor their students’ education with Geekedu and are invited to observe any of their child’s’ lessons at any time.

Classes are available Mondays through Sundays and can be rescheduled with 24 hours’ notice.

About the program
Do you offer group classes or just private lessons?
We only offer private, 1-on-1 learning at the price of a group class. We believe that individual lessons are more effective than group classes. Multiple students can slow the class down or cause distractions. Private classes ensure each student is able to learn at their own pace and get the time and the attention that they require, resulting in the best learning experience possible.
How much is the program? What payment options do you offer?
Classes range from $33 - $45 (USD) an hour depending on your chosen plan. Our programs work on a monthly subscription model. Select your plan based on the price and number of sessions your child would like per month. We process payments through PayPal and accept all major credit cards.
Can I try the program before paying?
We want to help students get the education that they’re looking for and want the parents to be satisfied with their purchase, this is why we off a free complimentary trial session in which our instructor will get to know your child and customize a lesson plan for them. If you are not satisfied after the trial class, please email us right away.
My child is a beginner. Where should we start?
Beginners are welcome! We recommend beginning with a coding class in Scratch or an Introduction-level mathematics class. The first class will give the instructor the opportunity to assess your child and to develop a personalized learning plan.
Do students receive a certificate upon completing the course?
Of course! Each student will receive a certificate on completion of the course. Students will gain in-depth coding and mathematics knowledge and will be introduced to problem-solving skills, that will last a lifetime. Our certificates ensure that students can show off their achievements and be recognized for them. References are also provided if needed.
How do I keep track of my child’s learning progress?
We know that it’s important for parents to be involved, so our instructors send parents a weekly class report, which details the topics covered, the homework assigned, and the progress made. Students will also receive homework or a take-home project after each class session. Parents are encouraged to take an active role. You’re welcome to speak to the instructor and to monitor the class at any time.

Who are the instructors?
Our faculty comprises a diverse group of educators from across North America. Each instructor comes to us from a top-tier university in Canada or the USA where they have studied Computer Science or Mathematics. Many of our instructors also have practical experience at major IT companies like Google and Amazon.
Policies
Do classes run year-round? What about school breaks and holidays?
We offer classes year-round regardless of the school schedule. Learning doesn’t need to stop in the summer! We are only closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day.
What is the scheduling policy?
We work with you and your child’s schedule to book convenient lesson times. We believe that consistency is an important part of learning, which is why understand the importance of consistency when learning. So, we prefer to schedule lessons to occur every week on the same day and at the same time. If you need to change the time or day of your child’s lessons, please email us with at least 24 hours’ notice.
What if I need to change my recurring lesson time?
Your schedule is important to us. Please call or email us at least 24 hours prior to reschedule your class.
What is the rescheduling policy?
We work with you and your child’s schedule to see what time is right for you.
